Beginning therapy
Starting counselling can take courage, and it’s completely normal to have questions about whether therapy can help or whether I’m the right counsellor for you.
I offer a free 30‑minute initial chat, which gives you the chance to get a sense of what working together might be like and to ask any questions you have. I’m happy to explain how I work so you can decide whether it feels like a good fit.
Therapy is a personal process, and it’s important that it feels right for you. I’ll always welcome your thoughts on what feels most helpful and the direction you’d like our work to take.
What therapy can offer you

The first session
If you choose to begin therapy, our first session will focus on getting to know each other and discussing practicalities such as confidentiality.
